I went to the drive in last weekend (yes these do still exist) and we caught a double feature that included “World War Z” with Brad Pitt. First off I must say that the movie was very enjoyable however it basically had nothing to do with the book. They did however leave it open for additional films maybe they can fill in some of the book content in follow up films.
Anyway at the very end of the movie there is a narration by PItt’s character and one of the very last things that he said was that everyone needs to “Be prepared for anything”. The wife and I looked at each other as this is an odd message coming from Hollywood. Normally they seem to follow the whole idea of the government will provide mindset. Perhaps more people are waking up to the fact that they may just have to look out for themselves when the SHTF.
